It is a black cable so im assuming i have the wrong bable. The pc cable has a usb on one end and another on the other end. Yes emanage blue does not connect via USB it definitely serial, the genuine cable is a kind of transparent which you can see the silver shielding through, sounds like its some sort of clone USB converter, the other possibility is that you have one of the fake emanages not made by Greddy:( Can you post a pic of the cable? Its definately a genuine e-manage mate, have the box with warranty etc. The whole purpose of doing this is to get a base map onto the e-manage. When the e-manage is plugged into the car, i have tried the connecting it to the laptop and opening the e-manage software (already installed) It then stats in offline mode and will not go online? Does anyone have any ideas why and what am i doing wrong? When installing the CD it asks for a verification number (i think that was what it was called) and i dont have one so just put a random number and it seemed to install ok. Problem: I have a problem with the e-manage blue. And it is also not the run of the mill usb-serial connector. DIY Greddy Emanage Blue Cable from Scratch.
